The Board of Directors of C. R. Bard, Inc. (NYSE: BCR) today authorized
the repurchase of up to $500 million of the company’s common stock. This
action follows the nearly completed buyback of $500 million of the
company’s stock, authorized by the Board in October 2007. Share
repurchases will be made from time-to-time in the open market or through
privately negotiated transactions.
